Lawyers can now view and edit financial management, matter management, and business development data in a single user interface

April 18, 2016

Thomson Reuters Elite, part of Thomson Reuters Legal, today announced the release of Workspace 2016.1, the latest version of the innovative integration platform that enables clients to access a range of Elite solutions and third party products from both desktops and mobile devices to improve workplace efficiency. Workspace 2016.1 eliminates the need to switch in and out of systems by seamlessly synching critical data from 3E®, Business Development Premier, and MatterSphere®. As a key component of the Elite Enterprise Business Management Solution, a comprehensive suite designed to help clients manage every aspect of their business, Workspace unlocks a new level of value for firms by providing a single interface for users to perform routine tasks.

“With this latest release of Workspace, we’ve achieved our vision of providing full integration of the Elite Enterprise Business Management Solution,” said Elisabet Hardy, vice president of Product Management at Elite. “Firms can now seamlessly sync their critical data in Workspace, saving time and providing a holistic view of the information needed to make business decisions and win new business.”

Users can access any combination of 3E, Business Development Premier, and MatterSphere functions, based on licensing. Licensed firms can view and edit items such as time entries, clients, matters, associates, and companies in one location. This seamless integration enables the products to work together to create a comprehensive solution for those clients who have more than one product.

Workspace 2016.1 also is designed to increase lawyer engagement by providing additional time tracking options. Lawyers and professionals can now use unlimited timers to automatically and easily capture time spent on multiple tasks such as phone calls and meetings. It’s easy to start and stop timers when switching from task to task. In addition, time is converted automatically into time entries, eliminating the need for manual entry later. The result is a reduction in lost billable time and lost revenue.

“The enhanced integration and automation in this release provides an improved, user-friendly experience that increases efficiency across the entire firm,” added Hardy.
